About sissymarche

Silvia Marchesotti is born in 1985 in Novi Ligure, Italy. During her early teenage-hood, she discovers herself a passion for Formula 1 race (never practiced) and the human brain. She later drops the former interest to concentrate on Brain-Machine Interfaces and the investigation of bodily self-consciousness, materialized in a PhD thesis at the laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience at EPFL, headed by Prof. Olaf Blanke. After a few months spent in Paris working on a very, very aesthetic personal project, she is currently back to Switzerland, as a postdoctoral researcher in the team of Prof. Anne-Lise Giraud, at the University of Geneva.
